This cage looks similar to ones available in some pet stores by the same manufacturer, however the FTC0115 Medium Chinchilla cage is 6 inches wider, 2 inches higher and has a wider back shelf as well as a deeper slide out tray to help reduce scatter.
This quality Canadian made all-metal 3 level Chinchilla Cage is made with 1" x 1" opening, 14 gauge galvanized wire mesh for the exterior of the chinchilla cage. The shelving is 1/2" x 1/2" 16 gauge galvanized wire mesh, which makes for easy cleaning as chinchilla feces drops through to bottom of the cage.
Due to the overall outer dimensions of this cage Canada Post will not ship. We would ship via FedEx Ground or Greyhound Courier whichever is the most cost efficient.
NOTE: This cage is fully assembled which leaves the interior of the cage empty. You may order extra items that will fit inside the cage without increasing the shipping cost.
The top shelf extends the length of the cage and is 10" deep and located 10" down from the top of the cage, it makes a perfect place for attaching your pets feeding dishes keeping them at high positions in the cage which greatly reduces the possibility of contamination falling into the dishes from an animal above. The height of the cage from the back ledge also makes a perfect place for hanging a Super Pet Ka-bob chew and treat dispenser (ID #SP61136) and there's ample room on the bottom for any of the large variety of Houses & Hideouts we carry. There is also a 6" deep shelf located on each side of the cage that extends about 10" back from the front of the cage and is located 8" lower than the top back shelf. The Side shelves are both joined to the top back shelf by a 6" wide ramp.
Overall this cage is the same size and configuration as the lower 3 levels of our 5 level Chinchilla Condo cage.
Due to the extra width of this cage there is also room to install a Standard Flying Saucer Wheel (ID # FTC0310) to help give your favourite pet the exercise they need.
We hang a Super Pet Super Sleepers- Comf-E-Cube (ID #SP62264), which is by far our chinchilla's favourite hammock. (We have one of these wonderful hammocks in all of our chinchilla's homes)
This chinchilla cage comes with a large 12" square door opening in the front of the cage making it easy to put large size items inside and gives ample room for cleaning your chinchilla's cage.
The 3" deep 26 gauge sturdy slide out tray helps reduce the amount of bedding scattered out of your pet's cage. Trim & Tray colours vary from picture shown.
